The Dodengang is a complex of preserved trenches from World War I. The Dodengang is located beside a bend in the river IJzer in the Diksmuide district of Kaaskerke. This complex is the last remaining section of the Belgian front from World War I. Thousands of soldiers perished there during the period from 1914 to 1918. It is a place that profoundly carries human suffering.
