Plaza de Cibeles is one of the most beautiful squares in Madrid. In the center stands the Fuente de Cibeles in all its glory. This fountain represents Cybele, the Greco-Roman goddess of nature, seated in a chariot pulled by two lions. The statue has become one of the symbols of Madrid. It was designed by José Hermosilla and Ventura Rodríguez.
