After ten years of brewing and 2 years of brewery school in Ghent, Frank and Inge decided to give more life to their hobby and combine it with a tasting room.

For this purpose, they built the café and brewery in Olmen. All beers are brewed and bottled within the walls of De Schieve. They are consumed in the self-shaped "schieve" glasses.
