In 2019, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of liberation in Josselin, a marker was erected in collaboration with the Souvenir Military Centre Brittany Association and the Memory Committee of the Josselin region. Patrick Le Diffon, mayor of Ploërmel, and Joseph Séveno, mayor of Josselin, inaugurated this road marker for liberation with John Shirley Wood, grandson of General Wood, commander of the 4th Armored Division of the U.S. Army.
This marker is not part of the "Way of Freedom," the marked route from Ste. Mere Eglise near Utah Beach to Bastogne in the Belgian Ardennes.
