The monumental Church of Our Lady was built in the middle of the 13th century. The choir, as the oldest part, is undoubtedly the most remarkable and still bears Romanesque traces.
A restoration project by architect Chrétien Veraart from 1902 shows us how the church probably looked: a massive stone western tower with a wooden spire, rose windows in the side aisles, a north and south portal, and inside wooden barrel vaults instead of the ribbed vaults added in the 18th century in the main aisle.
In the 13th century, the village was a busy pilgrimage site for Mary, which immediately explains the richness of architecture and decoration of the building.
