Highlights of this track are:
- Lügde, a town with a beautiful historic center,
- Bad Pyrmont, a town with Mediterranean charm, a palm grove, a castle, and the green main avenue,
- Schwalenberg, a village with a lovely historic center (many half-timbered houses),
- The route largely follows the Weser cycle path on the east side along well-paved bike paths beside the Weser,
- The Rühler Switzerland, a beautiful hilly area east of Rühle with a lovely ascent,
- The beautiful ascent to the Ottenstein plateau and the lovely descent from this plateau into the valley of the Weser.
- The Köterberg, the highest mountain in the area (496 m above sea level), ascends 406 meters here and at the end, you encounter gradients of up to 14%. Please note that there can be a lot of motorcycle traffic on the way up during the weekend.

The route can be shortened by the solar ferry in Grave, therefore the northern loop to Bodenwerder is omitted. However, it is true that this ferry only operates at certain times (mostly only after 2 PM in the afternoon).

The roads in this area are quiet, except for the road from Schwalenberg to Schieder and the main roads directly around Bad Pyrmont. Along these main roads (federal and state roads), there are often well-paved bike paths.

For those who wish to avoid the busy Bad Pyrmont and the federal roads in immediate proximity to Bad Pyrmont, a good alternative is to take the Schildweg (K64) to Eichenborn in Lügde. Then you continue cycling to Lichtenhagen to get back on track. The roads and bike paths in this area are of good quality.

A nice starting point for the route is the parking lot at Emmer Stausee (Schiedersee) on Regelweg.
