Cycle route Archeo Spearheads Parkstad

With the Archeo Route Limburg you will discover the stories behind Limburg's history and archaeology. At the sites you will come face to face with our archaeologist. He shows you and experiences what has happened at these locations in the past. This route takes you past the Archeopoints of Parkstad.

Discover which giant lived in Brunssum and how in the 15th century looters and highwaymen were hindered by an army. Take an exclusive look at the Roman villa Holzkuil and learn about the origin of the wine canal in Kerkrade. Meet the Lady of Simpelveld, dive into the Roman past of Voerendaal in Klimmen and relive the Middle Ages under the church tower in Voerendaal.

The route starts at Station Voerendaal (station square in Voerendaal) (KP 54) and can be cycled in eight.
