AzureWith this route you cycle through the area where archaeologists have made many finds from the time of the primeval farmers in the past century. In the time of the Band ceramics, dozens of small settlements stood here for centuries.
This is loop 1 of the Oerboerroute. During this cycle route you will get answers to questions about the lifestyle and world of the primeval farmers. What did they eat? What did they look like? How did they bury their dead? The route goes mostly through urban but also through green areas. You cycle past several special museums where you can see the finds from the time of the Band ceramics with your own eyes.
The excavations of the settlements are not visible along the way. However, the illustrations in the brochure give you a good idea of what these places once looked like.
