Seit über zweihundert Jahren bauen die Katalanen Castells, menschliche Türme, die aus Männern, Frauen und Kindern bestehen, die sich auf Schultern stützen und bis zu zehn Ebenen hoch erreichen. Diese einzigartige Tradition ist ein Zeugnis für exzellente Teamarbeit. Zwischen Juni und Oktober kann man Castells auf allen Stadtfesten bewundern, aber für ein echtes Spektakel muss man nach Tarragona gehen. Zwischen dem 24. Juni und dem 24. September findet fast täglich eine Castell-Show statt.
Wenn Sie die besten Castellers der Welt arbeiten sehen möchten, sollten Sie ebenfalls nach Tarragona gehen. Schließlich wird alle zwei Jahre der Concurs de Castells gefeiert, ein Wettkampf, bei dem die besten Castell-Teams gegeneinander in einer echten Show antreten.
