From Bunde to Elsloo lies a long, fairy-tale-like slope forest. The part near Elsloo is the steepest slope forest in the Netherlands, and several springs arise here. It is a forest full of life!
In spring, the Bunderbos is a popular walking spot, as the verges and the forest floor are filled with colorful spring flowers. It is also the territory of the badger and the fox. A special resident is the rare fire salamander, which looks very exotic with its yellow-black skin.
Note: wild boars may roam in this area. For your own safety, do not walk at dusk or during sunrise, keep dogs on a leash, and stay on the paths.
