Hier is een geologisch contact tussen twee soorten rotsen van het gebied: kalksteen aan de linkerkant (NW) en "flysch" of "flyschoidal melange" aan de rechterkant (ZW). Geologen raken enthousiast over deze geologische contacten omdat het iets aangeeft over de geologische geschiedenis van het gebied. Het kan een contact zijn dat wordt gevormd tijdens afzetting , door het binnendringen van magma , of door breuken of andere vervorming van rotsen die verschillende rotslichamen in contact brengen. Dit geval is zeker niet tijdens afzetting of binnendringen van magma, maar is een contact dat ontstaat tijdens breuken of tektonische activiteit.
