Deze heuvel maakt deel uit van het mergelschiereiland ten oosten van Porto Heli. Maar deze heuvel bestaat uit een grof grind dat aaneengekit is om de meeste plaatsen tot een hard conglomeraat. Dat harde conglomeraat zorgde voor bescherming en daardoor ging dit deel minder snel eroderen (differentiële erosie). En zo krijg je dus hier een heuvel.
