The oldest café in Hoegaarden is back. Den Venetiaen has opened its doors again on the Gemeenteplein. Owners Paul 'Toets' Thielemans and Dirk De Wolf temporarily moved the café to the Brug during the renovation works, but the renewed Den Venetiaen is now open again at the familiar location. "It was fantastic on the Bridge. All our regulars have made the effort to get there. A number of customers have even been added." In the renewed café, the company's own beer will also be tapped: Venetiaens blond, a triple from the barrel.
