Since its construction in 1707, the building has been owned by the parish of Saint Nicholas.
The almost square plan of the house has one room in each corner. In these rooms you will find a beautiful interior and portraits of the priests of St. Nicholas. The gateway in the wall gives access to the main entrance via a slender courtyard.
In 1707 Eupen came to the Dutch Republic for a short time, and then Protestant religious practice was indeed possible, but on condition that it would not be visible that there was a church in what looked like a mansion from the street side. This was this parsonage.
