The Leemcule is a pit that was created when layers of loam were excavated to bake bricks for the construction of houses. It is not known when the excavation started, but according to stories it must have been around the 1920s. Before that time, houses were still built with boulders. At the deepest part of the pit there is a pool of water, the size of which depends on the precipitation. This water remains because of the clay soil that hardly allows any water to pass through.
