La collezione del museo comunale Gevaert-Minne contiene opere d'arte provenienti dal grande periodo classico del paese di Leie, Sint-Martens-Latem, e include opere dei primi esploratori (Xavier De Cock), del primo gruppo di Latem (ad es. Valerius de Saedeleer, George Minne), della figura intermedia Albert Servaes e del secondo gruppo di Latem (ad es. Leon e Gust De Smet). Nella 'stalla delle pecore' si svolgono regolarmente esposizioni temporanee o conferenze in relazione a Sint-Martens-Latem. Se possibile, il museo è coinvolto nella collaborazione con altri musei della regione del Leie.
Il museo è l'ex casa di Edgar Gevaert (1891-1965), figlio di un industriale di Oudenaarde. Oltre a essere pittore, era anche poeta, scrittore e compositore, sposato con Marie Minne, figlia dello scultore. Come pacifista, si impegnò dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e si batté per un governo e un parlamento mondiale. Numerose lettere e riviste nella ex sala da pranzo ne sono testimoni. Anche lo studio del pittore Gevaert è ancora riconoscibile grazie alle grandi finestre.
