L'acqua scorre nel lago dalla Montagna Phanom Rung e dalla Montagna Prai Bat attraverso un canale di ingresso a ovest del baray in un'area chiamata "Saphan Khom" o ponte Khmer. Saphan Khom si trova a Ban Khok Muang nel sottodistretto di Chorakhe Mak, nel distretto di Prakhon Chai, provincia di Buriram, al bordo occidentale di Barai Muang Tam (il serbatoio). La parola “Saphan Khom” deriva dal nome locale; “Saphan” significa il ponte, e “Khom" significa Khmer perché un tempo c'era un ponte di legno sostenuto da antichi resti di laterite Khmer. Tuttavia, questa struttura è un antico muro di contenimento utilizzato per drenare l'acqua nel serbatoio. Può essere datato all'11° secolo d.C. Questo monumento antico è stato scavato nel 2014 e 2019 d.C. ed è stato restaurato con la tecnica dell'anastilosi nel 2020 - 2021 d.C.
