Nieder-Modau Castle is a ruined hilltop castle on the Schlossberg near Modau, a district of Ober-Ramstadt, in the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg in Hesse.
The nearly conical and now reforested Schlossberg is located about 12 kilometers southeast of the city of Darmstadt in southern Hesse, in the area of the Vorderer Odenwald, north of Nieder-Modau and south of Ober-Ramstadt, and is approximately 280 meters high. Today, the O4 hiking trail of the city of Ober-Ramstadt, the Silberbergweg, also passes over the castle hill. The mountain is flanked from southwest to north by the Modau in a half loop.
