Le monument aux morts du cimetière attenant à l'église Saint Mauritus de Varsenare commémore les victimes militaires et civiles de la Première et de la Seconde Guerre mondiale .
Sur le piédestal se trouve une statue en bronze de Saint Maurice , habillé en soldat romain et appuyé sur son épée.
A l'occasion des 100 ans de la Première Guerre mondiale et à la mémoire des morts de cette guerre, une plaque a été posée avec le texte :
"1914 - 1918 - 2014 - 2018 / L'UNITÉ FAIT LE POUVOIR / UNE MÉMOIRE RECONNAISSANTE POUR EUX / QUI SONT TOMBÉS DANS LA PREMIÈRE GUERRE MONDIALE / POUR LA LIBERTÉ ET LA DÉMOCRATIE, / À CAUSE DU VICE-PREMIER MINISTRE ET / MINISTRE DE LA DÉFENSE DU PAYS PIETER DE CREM ".
