Steveren er en ca. 58 km lang, højre side tilløb til Lippe i de nordrhein-westfæliske kommuner Coesfeld, Unna og Recklinghausen. Dens opland var den historiske Stevergau, som sammen med Dreingau dannede landskabet i det sydlige Münsterland.
Steveren udspringer mellem Münster og Coesfeld, nær Baumberge-vandskille. Andre vandløb, hvis kilder ligger i nærheden, flyder dermed på helt forskellige veje til havet.
