Es wurde von Dr. Janicaud beschrieben (Band 26 der Mémoires de la Société des Sciences de la Creuse, 1935) und stellt grob eine sitzende Figur dar, die aus einem einzigen Granitblock mit einer Höhe von 1,10 m gehauen wurde. Der Kopf ist kugelförmig; die Augen und Nasenlöcher sind durch einfache runde Löcher dargestellt, der Mund durch eine horizontale Furche. Die Arme sind entlang des Körpers dargestellt. Diese Figur soll eine gallische Gottheit aus den ersten Jahrhunderten unserer Zeitrechnung darstellen. Die Druiden sollen hier Rituale zum Schutz des Viehs durchgeführt haben. Die christliche Religion übernahm diesen heidnischen Glauben für sich: "Um das Vieh zu zähmen, musste man es dreimal um das Murmeltier kreisen lassen und dabei Gebete sprechen".
