Altschweier est un village allemand situé à l’est de la ville de Bühl. Il est situé dans la vallée de Büllot, des deux côtés du ruisseau Büllot, qui s’étend dans les contreforts de la chaîne de montagnes de la Forêt-Noire. La population d’Altschweier est d’environ 2000 habitants.
La vallée de Büllot est profondément creusée dans les contreforts et les montagnes de la Forêt-Noire. La majeure partie de Bühl est située dans la zone plate de la vallée du Rhin, à une altitude de 300 à 400 pieds au-dessus du niveau de la mer, bordant la région des contreforts à l’est. Altschweier est entourée par Eisental au nord, Kappelwindeck au sud et Bühlertal à l’est. Bühlertal est une ville située le long du Büllot, qui s’étend plus loin dans le nord de la Forêt-Noire qu’Altschweier.
