Museet er indrettet i et fredet lille hus, som oprindeligt blev bygget som politistation i 1902. Der vises en udstillingssamling bestående af ca. 1.000 genstande som klokker, små klokker og bjælder på en flade af ca. 465 m², herunder blandt andet to klokker fra romertiden. På en tro kopi af en arbejdsplads kan man forestille sig arbejdet som en klokkeløber.
Museet har, blandt andet til demonstrationsformål, et eget guldcasteri.
I 2010 gennemgik klokkemuseet en ombygning, hvor en stor udstillingshal og et nyt indgangsparti blev tilføjet. Udstillingsarealet kunne derfor næsten fordobles.
