Nel 1661, Bernard Potier decide di fondare nel feudo di Fourcroy un orfanotrofio al posto dell'antica maladrerie. Fu la prima fondazione di bambini riconosciuta dal re. Alla vigilia della Rivoluzione, l’orfanotrofio era sotto le cure delle suore del convento dei Feuillants, fino al 1792, anno dell’abolizione delle congregazioni. Diventato allora bene dello Stato, l'Ospizio degli orfani fu gestito da una commissione municipale. Dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, l'orfanotrofio tornò di proprietà della Fondazione di Blérancourt prima di essere ripreso nel 1957 dall'Associazione il Moulin Vert, che vi installò una struttura di accoglienza per i bambini con disabilità mentale.
