Bru ist ein sprudelndes Mineralwasser, das bereits im siebzehnten Jahrhundert von den Mönchen der Abtei Stavelot verwendet wurde. Sie bottelten das von Natur aus kohlensäurehaltige Wasser. Aufgrund des sehr niedrigen Salzgehalts ist Bru hervorragend zu Speisen geeignet, da es den Geschmack nicht beeinflusst. Im ersten Jahrhundert nach Christus schrieb Plinius der Ältere bereits über die geheimnisvollen Quellen der Ardennen. Wahrscheinlich gehörte auch die Bru-Quelle dazu.
