Châlons-en-Champagne ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde in Frankreich. Die Stadt ist die Präfektur des Departements Marne und gleichzeitig die Hauptstadt der Region Champagne-Ardenne. Die Einwohnerzahl betrug 1999 47.339. Vor 1998 hieß die Stadt Châlons-sur-Marne.
Châlons liegt im Südosten von Reims.
Châlons wurde in römischer Zeit Catalaunum genannt.
Historiker situieren die Schlacht auf den Katalaunischen Feldern von 451 in der Nähe von Châlons. Dabei wurden die Hunnen unter der Leitung von Attila besiegt. Es konnte jedoch bisher archäologisch nicht nachgewiesen werden, dass die Schlacht tatsächlich hier stattfand.
1998 wurde der Name der Stadt in Châlons-en-Champagne geändert, den die Stadt auch vor der Französischen Revolution trug.
