Il territorio comunale si trova al margine settentrionale della fertile Börde di Magdeburgo con valori di terreno fino a 100. A nord del comune unificato scorre l'Ohre e si trova il canale Mittelland. Qui la Börde si trasforma nell'Heide di Colbitz-Letzlingen con suoli sabbiosi leggeri. Nella parte meridionale del comune, il paesaggio è caratterizzato dalla transizione dalla Alta Börde alla valle originaria dell'Elba. Possono essere riscontrate differenze di altezza fino a 70 m.
Le città più grandi nelle vicinanze sono Haldensleben circa 10 km a nord-ovest, Wolmirstedt circa 10 km a est e il capoluogo dello stato della Sassonia-Anhalt, Magdeburgo, circa 20 km a sud-est.
