Grefrath si trova circa 5 km a sud-ovest del centro di Neuss ed è separato dalla città da edifici.
A nord si trova il piccolo paese di Dirkes e un po' più lontano Kaarst-Büttgen. A est si trova il quartiere di Lanzerath e il comprensorio sciistico. A sud, Grefrath è delimitato dalla B 230, sotto la quale si trova un tunnel che porta a Röckrath. A ovest si trova Korschenbroich-Lüttenglehn.
