A un costat de la plaça hi ha la Cancelleria Reial o Reial Cancelleria.
Aquest imponent edifici va ser construït en estil renaixentista per Felip II l'any 1530 . Diversos tribunals d'Andalusia i del sud d'Espanya s'administraven des de la cancelleria reial i aquest edifici també conté el Tribunal Suprem. També es va construir una presó al segle XVII .
