El conjunt artístic consta dels dos palaus Belvedere , convertits en museu, i d'un altre anomenat Schwarzenberg, transformat en un hotel. Els dos palaus principals estan units per uns jardins que estan dividits en tres nivells que representen diverses al·legories.Al palau es pot apreciar una impressionant col·lecció de pintures imperials. El pis superior acull la galeria austríaca dels segles XIX i XX que, entre altres, mostra la coneguda obra de Gustav Klimt, El Petó.
