Moià és una vila de Catalunya, cap del municipi del mateix nom, capital de la comarca del Moianès, de la qual n'està situat al centre.
L'any 1983 tenia un cens de 3.140 habitants. El 31 de desembre de 2008 ja arribava a 5.711 habitants , i el 2010 a 5.713. La seva economia es basa en la ramaderia, l'agricultura, el comerç, la construcció, el lleure, la indústria tèxtil i l'alimentària.
