Al camí central del bosc de l'Alhambra, davant de la font del tomate, s'alça el Monument a l' escriptor Ángel Ganivet (1865-1898).
El conjunt escultòric, que simbolitza la lluita constant de l'home per dominar la natura , està format per un bust de pedra d'Ángel Ganivet. El pedestal diu "Aan Ganivet" sota una magrana mig oberta.
Davant d'ella hi ha una figura de bronze d' un atleta nu, agafant desafiament una cabra per les banyes, com a símbol del domini de la intel·ligència sobre la irracionalitat. Un raig d'aigua surt de la boca de la cabra i cau a una bassa.
L'obra de Juan Cristóbal es va inaugurar l'any 1921.
