Fügen betragtes som hovedbyen i den forreste del af Zillertal. Byen ligger på den brede moræne af Rischbach. Kommuneområdet består af landsbyen Fügen med 2716 indbyggere og de lokale byer Gagering mod nord med 187 indbyggere, Kapfing mod syd med 990 indbyggere og den tidligere industribebyggelse Kleinboden ved Finsingbach i sydvest med 390 indbyggere.
