I 1230 skænker Libert Jeneffe, herre af Borgworm, landet Limont til sin søn Robert. Landet er adskilt fra domænet Warfusée-Donmartin. Robert bærer titlen Limont, vælger et nyt våbenskjold og bygger donjonet. Robert bliver dræbt under forsvaret af Borgloon borgen i 1276 under Awans- og Warouxkrigen.
