Fortet i Brasschaat blev bygget lige før Første Verdenskrig som en del af Antwerpen-stillingen, en forsvarsbelt. I dag er fortet stadig militært område og derfor desværre ikke tilgængeligt. Fortet er helt forladt og også hjemsted for en stor koloni af flagermus. Desuden ligger det i skovrigt område, ideelt til at tage en smuk gåtur omkring det forladte fort.
