Denne klassiske bygning i Ruisbroek fra begyndelsen af det 19. århundrede er opført efter tegning af Ferdinand Berckmans. Det er et perle af borgerlig arkitektur med en opadgående gangbro og markante rundbuede arkader. Siden 1983 har det tidligere rådhus været et beskyttet monument.
Indtil 2009 havde Museum De Bres til huse i denne smukke bygning. Foreningen museum De Bres blev grundlagt den 23. august 1976 for at holde minderne om alt, hvad der skete med Ruisbroek i den katastrofale januar måned 1976, i live. Efter bygningens restaurering i 2011 har kommunen Puurs (nu Puurs-Sint-Amands) besluttet at leje bygningen ud privat.
