Haßfurt er hovedbyen i Landkreis Haßberge i den bayerske regeringsregion Unterfranken, 20 km øst for Schweinfurt. Byen ved Main blev etableret omkring 1230 som en grænsebefæstning mellem bispedømmet Würzburg og Bamberg. Selvom byens våbenskjold viser en hare, stammer bynavnet fra det germanske Hasufurth.
Haßfurt ligger ved nordsiden af Mains ved sydvestkanten af naturparken Haßberge. Det mellemstore center tilhører regionen Main-Rhön. Fire kilometer øst for byen rejser Hohe Wann sig, et 387 meter højt bjerg med et naturreservat. Byen opdeles i bolig- eller byområde, nybyggeri og industriområde. De nærmeste byer er Wülflingen, Sylbach og Augsfeld.
