Kempenich er en landsby i Ahrweiler-distriktet i Rheinland-Pfalz. Den tilhører Brohltal kommunefællesskabet, som har sin administrationsplads i Niederzissen. Kempenich er den største by i den øverste Brohltal og et statsligt anerkendt ferieområde.
Kommunen ligger i den østlige rand af Hocheifel cirka otte kilometer nordvest for Mayen. Hohen Acht rejser sig cirka syv kilometer sydvest for Kempenich, knap ti kilometer øst ligger Laacher Sø.
