Kredsen Mettmann er en kreds i den vestlige del af Nordrhein-Westfalen og tilhører regeringsområdet Düsseldorf. Geografisk udgør kredsen Mettmann den største del af Niederbergische Land, og i sydvest grænser den op til Rhinen. På grund af sin centrale beliggenhed mellem de rhinlandske storbyer Düsseldorf og Köln samt Ruhrområdet og det Bergiske bytrekant er kredsen Mettmann ikke kun et populært rekreativt område, men også en betydningsfuld erhvervslokation. Som en del af Metropolitanregionen Rhein-Ruhr tilhører kredsen et tæt befolket område med over ti millioner indbyggere. Historisk og sociokulturelt betragtes den som en kulturregion i Bergisches Land.
