I den nordvestlige del af slotsparken opstod også mellem 1727 - 1734, ligesom fasaneriet, orangeriet efter planerne af J. C. Schlaun. Fladgavlen på sydsiden prydes dengang som nu af alliansevåbnet for Ferdinand v. Plettenberg under grev kronen og kæden af den gyldne fleece. Derudover har Schlaun dog ved dette byggeri fremhævet det funktionelle i en nyttig bygning. Ifølge grundplanen bestod orangeriet kun af et rum med to tilsluttede drivhuse til opbevaring af eksotiske planter og træer. Flere ovne opvarmede anlægget om vinteren. I de to fløje lå gartnerboligerne.
