Speichrow er en del af kommunen Schwielochsee i Dahme-Spreewald-distriktet. Speichrow var indtil sammenlægningen med fem andre kommuner til den nye kommune Schwielochsee i 2003 en selvstændig kommune. Det tilhørte i den tidlige moderne tid sammen med Niewisch og Pieskow de tre såkaldte „vandlandsbyer“.
Speichrow ligger cirka 8,5 km sydvest for Friedland, knap 6 km vest for Lieberose og omkring 25 km nordøst for Lübben. Området omfatter den 1106 ha store Schwielochsee. Det grænser mod nord til Leißnitz, mod øst til Niewisch og Pieskow, mod øst og sydøst til Doberburg, mod syd til Jessern, sydvest til Goyatz og mod vest til Ressen-Zaue og Trebatsch. Landsbyen er tilgængelig via L 441, der ved Wuggelmühle afgår fra B 168 i retning mod Möllen, Niewisch, Pieskow og Speichrow og videre forbi Jessern til Goyatz, hvor den ender ved B 320.
