El Atazar er en spansk kommune i provinsen og fællesskabet Madrid. Den har en befolkning på 90 indbyggere.[1] Oprindelsen af navnet er ikke helt klar. Tidligere var det "Latazar", som nævnt i Alfonso XI's Montería-bog. En keltisk-germansk og endda baskisk rod tilskrives det, selvom de fleste hælder mod en arabisk oprindelse.
