DISTRIKTET FOR VILLAS AF BRAY-DUNES
I slutningen af det nittende århundrede blev strande og havbadning modetrends. Godt betjent af jernbanen, er det ganske naturligt, at Bray-Dunes byder velkommen til de første "turister" fra den "gode samfund" i Tourcoing og Roubaix. I hjertet af et enestående miljø etableres hoteller, villaer (herunder "Suzon", "Hortensia", "Theresa" og "Marguerite") og sikrer byens kystudvikling.
I takt med denne entusiasme blev et aktieselskab kaldet "la Plage de Bray-Dunes" oprettet i 1912, beregnet til at fremme kystsektoren. Derefter vil et ejendomsselskab i 1928 sælge de første "nøglefærdige" villaer.
