South Stoke er en landsby og civil parish på den østlige bank af Themsen, cirka 1,5 miles nord for Goring-on-Thames i South Oxfordshire. Den inkluderer mindre end 1 mile nord for den lille landsby og herregård Littlestoke .
I 975 gav kong Edgar Osweard land ved Stoke, sandsynligvis senere South Stoke og Offham herregårde. Herregården gik til Eynsham Abbey i 1094. På tidspunktet for Hundred Rolls i 1279 havde South Stoke 40 lejere og kun tre frie ejendomsejere. Woodcote, 3 miles øst for South Stoke, var udviklet som en afhængig bosættelse i 1109. Det blev efterfulgt af Exlade Street i 1241 og Greenmoor i 1366.
