Stationen blev taget i brug den 28. september 1986 som endestation for forlængelsen fra Sesto Marelli.
Den 15. juni 2012 begyndte arbejdet med installationen af perronporte på spor 1 og året efter på spor 2, mens spor 3 forblev uden beskyttelse. Efter 7 års brug af beskyttelsesbarrierer blev det i april 2019 besluttet at fjerne dem fra spor 2 og omkring midten af maj 2019 fra spor 1.
