Møllen blev bygget i 1856. Møllen blev restaureret i 1963 og igen i 1986. Derefter blev møllen igen restaureret i 2011. Den 12. maj 2011 blev kappen sat på, de af firmaet Vaags fremstillede sværd blev sat i, og halen blev fornyet.
Sværdet på møllen har en længde på 23,35 meter og er udstyret med det gammeldanske gitterværk. Møllen har et par mølsteen.
