Denne mindesten mindes stedet, hvor den amerikanske faldskærmssoldat Joe Mann faldt den 19. september 1944. Han reddede livet på sine kammerater under erobringen af Wilhelminakanaal. Heltemodigt tog han eksplosjonen fra en granat ved at kaste sig over granaten med sin krop. For denne handling modtog han posthumt den højeste amerikanske hæder: 'Medal of Honor'.
