Den Frie By Danzig – byerne Danzig, Zoppot, Praust, Tiegenhof og Neuteich samt det område, der forbinder dem – bestod som en delvis suveræn, selvstændig fristat med polske havnerettigheder under beskyttelse af Folkeforbundet fra 1920 til 1939. Efter at området havde tilhørt Preussen fra 1794 til 1807 og fra 1814 til 1919, blev det efter Første Verdenskrig adskilt fra rigsområdet i henhold til bestemmelserne i Versaillestraktaten i 1920 og fik status som en autonom fristat Danzig.
