Die gewaltige Berglandschaft spitzt sich zu: Zollspitze, Säulspitze, Bretterspitze, Kristallspitze, Kreuzwandspitze… Sie alle grüßen mit ihren markanten Gipfeln die Adlerwegwanderer auf dieser Etappe. Der Weg führt jedoch vom Kalser Tauernhaus über sanfte Böden durch das liebliche Tal der Dorferalmen: Schönebenalm, Bergeralm, Moaebenalm und Moaalm sind geprägt durch idyllische Landschaft und intakte Landwirtschaft, urige Hütten offerieren gemütliche Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Danach erfolgt der Anstieg in Richtung Teischnitztal, der Herrensteig führt an Figerhorn, Freiwandspitze und Fanotkogel vorbei zur Stüdlhütte am Fuß des Großglockners.
