Die rund 5,5 Kilometer lange, vorwiegend flach verlaufende Obern-Loipe in Leutasch ist ideal für Anfänger, Fortgeschrittene ziehen in zügigem Tempo ihre Runden. Aus landschaftlicher Sicht bietet die Strecke wunderbare Ausblicke auf die Hohe Munde und das Wettersteingebirge, auch die markante Arnplattenspitze ist zu sehen. Entlang dieser Loipe findet jedes Jahr auch der Ganghoferlauf mit mehr als 1.800 Teilnehmern statt. Da die Spuren teilweise am Waldrand entlang sowie auf freiem Feld verlaufen, ist die Strecke bei schönem Wetter sehr sonnig.
Die Obern-Loipe beginnt am Parkplatz Moos, führt in mehreren Schleifen vorbei am Ortsteil Platzl, weiter bis in den Ortsteil Obern und schließlich zurück zum Ausgangspunkt in Moos.
